Service

Service, to your immediate and broader community is important to me. I am passionate about academic service work, including reviewing articles, serving on committees with clear and genuine commitments to cultural change and improvement, and engaging with professional academic organizations. Relatedly, I am very passionate about mentoring and helping undergraduate students harness and pursue their passion for science and research.

I have served as an ad hoc reviewer for:
  • Psychology of Addictive Behaviors
  • Infant Behavior and Development
  • Journal of Maternal Child Health
  • Journal of Child and Family Studies
  • Child Psychiatry and Human Development
I have also reviewed grants and award submissions for:
  • The Association for Psychological Science
  • The American Psychological Association
I am an active member of the following organizations:
  • The Child Well-Being Research Network
  • The Association for Psychological Science
  • The American Psychological Association
  • The Society for Research in Child Development
  • The National Research Mentoring Network
I have mentored students at both Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and the University of Rochester, and through APS' formal mentoring program. Students, especially those from historically excluded groups are more than welcome to email me with questions about psychology, research, academia, life, or just to chat!
